Cask @ City Arms, Manchester. Golden with a small head. The ginger is more than apparent but is pleasantly light, as is its texture.

On gravity at the Portcullis, Bristol 10/12/09. Deep gold with a slight white head. Aroma of root ginger with a hint of sweet malt. Flavour of intense stem ginger, with a light malty ale underneath. Ok, but one dimensional.

(Cask at White House Hotel pub, Peel, on 2008-07-05) Pale yellow. Clear. Small dense white head. Ginger and lightly malts in nose. Medium and dry palate with sting from ginger. Ginger, hops, malts and some bitterness in taste. Ginger brings slightly hot aftertaste. Interesting and not bad.

Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading. Cloudy straw coloured with a thin white head; a fresh ginger aroma; refreshing in the mouth with ginger and citrus; pleasantly bitter finish with more warming ginger. Great if you are in to ginger, and much better than the Shakemantle Ginger Ale that also features in the JDW Festival.

Cask handpull at Pembury Tavern, London. Gold with a slight haze, very thin white head. Stem ginger aroma. Man that’s a ginger beer. A bit soapy maybe, good ginger though.
