Bottle. Pours a black color with a small off-white head. Has a roasted malty licorice chocolate aroma. Roasted malty licorice bitter chocolate flavor. Has a roasted malty licorice chocolate bitter finish.

33 cl bottle thanks to Grzegorz, SmakPiwa! Sampled on October 8, 2016.BB 15.04.2017/A1.Black color, small dark brown head. Hoppy, alcohol, some chocolate, light sweet scent. Sweet, malty, bitter, resin taste. Roasted, metallic, salty aftertaste. Warming alcohol. Medium a bit fizzy mouthfeel, medium high bitterness.Seems to be rather few different kinds of malt and quite a high number of different hops in this one. I’d like it to be the other way around, the malt bill feels lacking and the hops too confused, as well as way to bitter not only for me but for the beer as well. All in all a nice beer, but feels confused in a way.

Bottle shared. Black with a small and short lived tan head. Aroma of caramel, butterscotch, toffee, strangely barleywine like rather than an RIS, boozy, some licorice showing up and a light roastiness hidden behind. Flavour is heavy sweet but leading into long heavy bitter finish. Full bodied with soft carbonation. [15/08/2016]

Aroma has licorice and hayish tones. Also alcohol. Flavour has somewhat salty licorice, some coffee and grainy tones. A bit too salty but somewhat nice anyway.

330 ml. bottle sampled @ “Wish you were Adam Chandler” tasting. BBF 15.04.2017. Dark blackish brown, patchy tanned head. Nose is thick dark fruit syrup, molasses, cacao, faintly vinous. Taste is massive extreme herbal bitterness & hugely burned and roasted malts, excessive bitterness, faint cacao, low charcoal, sugar, roasted coffee. Very dry & bitter syrupy body. Extreme bitterness isn’t really my thing & this has absolutely nothing to balance it. There are a bunch of interesting USA hops in here but you don’t get them. Expected more but this is largely excessive rather unpleasant bitterness.

33cl bottle courtesy of and shared with 77ships. Brune foncée, col fin beige. Arôme au nez fin malté, chocolaté, grillé avec un rétro de houblons nobles, et petite note biscuitée. Douceur perce également tjrs en rappel à cette inspiration allemande. Palais est malté, grillé, retrouve une certaine douceur persistante assez allemande et laissant penser au mélanoïde. Petite chaleur perce en fin de bouche, assez sèche sur houblonnage noble. Fine pointe épicée se distingue avec un accompagnement malté caramel. AU final, bcp de houblons spéciaux utilisés, et peu en terme de leur impact sur la bière.

Clear dark brown to black beer, creamy irregular beige head, unstable, dissipates quickly. Aroma: malty, grains, dried fruits, soft roast, dark chocolate. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body, smooth texture. Aftertaste: very bitter hops, bit sweet, caramel, malty, pretty roasted, little sour. Aftertaste: bitter hops, very bitter, roasted, alcohol burn, some coffee, hoppy.

Czarne, piana beżowa, niewysoka, błyskawicznie opadająca. W aromacie długo na pierwszym planie chmiel. Dopiero po chwili ustępuje pola mlecznej czekoladzie, wanilii, kawie, pralinom, skórce od chleba czy suszonym owocom. W tle czuć alkohol. Aromat bardzo złożony i ciekawy. W smaku jest również bogato. Czekolada, praliny, paloność. Bardzo słodkie. Alkohol dość mocno wyczuwalny, dający alkoholową goryczkę, aczkolwiek piłem już Risy gdzie był znacznie bardziej nachalny (np Black z Mikkellera). Piwo mega pełne, gęste, oleiste, zaklejające. Potężne, tak jak powinno być. Wysycenie niskie. Po przełknięciu zostaje niestety głównie alkohol. Ogólnie bardzo smaczny Ris, z nieco niepoukładanym alkoholem. Świetny materiał do leżakowania. Niech Raduga leje go w beczki i przytrzyma parę miesięcy a będzie bomba.
