Bottled. Yellowish golden colour with a small creamy white head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is grainy, herbal, some artificial strawberries and a bit raspberries too. Flavour is sweet malts, toffee, some fruit candy as well as mild artificial strawberries.

(Draught at Prague Beer Museum, Prague, 26 July 2015) Golden colour with rocky, white head. Fruity nose with notes of strawberries, bread, grass and a touch of citrus. Fruity, malty, taste with strawberries, bread and some grassy hops in the finish. Medium body, starts sweet and dries out towards the finish. A bit artificial, but quite refreshing. Enjoyable.

GBBF Day 2. Keg. Lightly hazy gold beer, massive fluffy white head. Palate is crisp and dry. Minerals. Dry seltzer. Ripe and slightly tangy strawberry juice. Sharply crisp finish brings a little floral bitterness. Strawberry candy linger. Okay.

Cask at gbbf 2013. Hazed yellow white halo head. Aroma is big canned strawberry. Flavour is same dominated by strawberry wheaty malt. OK but tastes a bit fake.

Ein Bier mit Erdbeeren kennt man höchstens von belgischen Fruchtbieren oder abstrusen Radlerkreationen, die sich aber nicht lange halten (was meist nicht schade ist). Dieses tschechische Bier aus der kreativen Klosterbrauerei gab es aber länger, auch wenn es schon eine Zeitlang zurückliegt, dass ich es trank. Es ist nicht schlecht und die Erdbeeren sind gut in das bierige Gerüst eingewebt, auch wenn man das etwas harmonischer hinbekommen könnte. Ein durchaus interessantes Biergetränk, auf das man sich halt einlassen muss.

On tap at Klub Malých Pivovarů, Plzen. Slightly hazy golden colour, white head. Aroma of fresh pureed strawberries, just a tiny hint of malts. Flavour is your regular fresh lager with strawberry puree, and I have to say, it all works fine and blends well. Light bitter finish, light bodied, watery, a bit fizzy. A nice surprise.
