On cask at Cafe Royal. Appearance - light amber with a decent head. Nose - slightly elusive but a touch of citrus there. Taste - lemon with a toffee backbone. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - not the most exciting but it is balanced.

Cask at Glasgow Airport Spoons. It pours golden yellow with a medium white head. The nose is earth, faint farmyard, dough and flour. The taste is dough, grain, spice, citrus pith and some decent bitterness with a dry, lightly earthy finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. A decent, drinkable golden ale.

500 ml bottle. Golden body with a fast disappearing white head. Aroma has notes of light honey with a hint of caramel. Flavor is sweet caramel with a very light and slightly harsh bitterness. Thin body and unpleasant aftertaste. Not in a good condition.

0.5l bottle shared with The Tasting Crew. This is a near clear golden one with a small bubbly off-white head and some small sediments. On the aroma it's light caramel-ish and buttery. Quite low, some grains and sweet corns perhaps? Dull and not exciting. It's average carbonated with a thin and watery texture. Flavors are also light buttery, some thin caramel perhaps. Kinda low on the bitterness, and the little traces of hops that's actually in this one tastes old and not to good. Drinkable but quite boring and forgettable. 16.06.2012

500 ml bottle, from Vaaland, Bryne. ABV is 3.8%. Golden colour, moderate white head. Moderate but nice aroma of butterscotch and toffee. Refreshing flavour, some malts, nutty and toffee notes, hints of butterscotch, very moderate hops in the finish, not too sweet. Certainly not an IPA by any stretch of the mind, but definitely drinkable.,

Cask @ The King’s HIghway. Inverness. 250811
Golden beer, clear, thin white head.
Aroma - Very light aroma on the nose, some sweet malt.
Taste - Fruity light malt, some citrus hop, honey syrup, crunchie bar honeycomb centre. Muddled.
Palate - Sweet then moves to a bitter sweet finish. Soft carb, rather slick texture.
Overall - Rather sweet and muddled flavour. Not great. An IPA?....Er, no.

Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. It’s a clear, dark golden beer with a minimal sized white head. The aroma reminds me more of an English regular bitter than of an IPA, but what to expect at 3.8 % ABV. Biscuity malts, pine cones, grass and a fruity touch in the aroma. The body is a bit thin, but not thin, and the carbonation level is appropriate. Nice bitterness in the flavor, with fruityness and pine cones, and some pale malts in the back. Bitterness in the end. Decent. 110318
