Backlog 4/10-2013. Clear, deep amber body under a big, lacing, dense beige head. Aroma has malt, caramel and some dry fruit and fruity hops. Taste is sweet caramel malt, some roast, nice fruity hops and balanced bitterness. Fine body with a pleasant aftertaste. Nice, refreshing brown ale.

Keg @ Abbot’s Ale House, Cork [130416]
Dark caramel brown, off white head
Aroma of soft caramel, soft nutty malts
Taste of caramel, soft nutty, no hops, nice nutty malts, touch of hazlenut
Palate - Soft carb, medium body, soft sweet. Finish has a bit oh nutty chocolate
Overall - Good example of a Brown Ale rarely seen nowadays. Nice change from hoppy beers. Really nice nutty malts in this

Tap@Taphouse, Copenhagen - Amber pour with off white head. Toasty malty aroma and taste, with some caramel, toffee, twiggy herbal hoppy into the bitter finish. Ok.

330ml bottle. DArk brown colour with ruby red glimmer and average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, ochre-ish beige head. Nuttily and minimally chocolately, dark malty aroma, a touch of nougat, fruity hoppy overtones with orange touch. Taste is nuttily dark malty, minimally chocolately, more "heavy" fruity notes of plum and raisin. Very smooth and soft palate, gentle carbonation.
