Can. Unclear golden body with a white head. A bit weak in aroma, hint of yeast. Taste is sweet, some caramel and slightly fruity. Medium body and average aftertaste. Not sure what to expect from this, but it manages to create a reference to brown cheese in flavor. Still rather sceptic to see this as a massive favorite among beer drinkers. Kudos for the idea and as always, it’s fun to taste something else every now and then.

KØLF 100120. Golden -orange color with an off-white head. Aroma is berries, yeast, malt. Flavor is berries, sourness, sugar, kveik, yeast, lactose and something strange that could be whey. A little bit weird beer.

5-3-4-3-9 Can, #1, nine months before bbd. Pours opaque orange, with an enormous creamy head. Aroma is caramel malts with bread and smokey notes, as well as toffee. Medium body, with soft to average carbonation. Flavour is caramel malts with bread and toffee, as well as lactose. Strange brew.

Can shared with IH at his place 31.10.19. Cloudy hazelnut colour. Beige head. Sweet aroma and taste of yeast, lactose, mash, forest, syrup and brown cheese. Not particularly good.

330 ml can, from the brewery. A beer that tastes like Norwegian brown whey cheese, hmm? Sounds kind of suspect. Hazy brown colour, minimal white head. Weird aroma, notes of whey, silage and clover. Sweetish flavour of lactose, caramel, whey and brown cheese. Not a beer for me. Drainpour.

0,33 boks fra Gulating Stavanger, hjemme des-18: nesten helt klar gyllenbrun med ok skum. Søt aroma av lactose, myse, melkesjokolade og kanel. Deilig smak (igjen i den søtlige retning), hvor kombinasjonen kveik, myse og lactose skaper en sjarmerende hyllest til vår nasjonalikon brunosten. Fin munnfølelse, slank, behagelig og med en diskret bitterhed i afslutningen. Definitivt en av de bedre mild jeg har smakt, og absolutt den mest originale. Glasset ble fort tomt.
