It is clear and golden and effervescent and comes in half litre amber glass bottles to protect it from the light. The taste and aroma are exceptional, a fusion of authentic country flavour and real finesse. It is racked more frequently than the norm, it matures longer and is made only from the juice that the apples release in the first two thirds of a full pressing cycle. It takes about two pounds of hand sorted traditional cider apples to make every bottle of Robinsons Fine Dry Vintage Cider.

Bottle. A birthday gift from the person who is Totnes. Colour of weak tea. Clear as a bell. Constant stream of fine bubbles make for a slim ring of white. Nose has baked cider apple. Some old wood. Tannic and funky. Taste is mostly dry and tannic. Drying on the palate. Bit of a furry teeth thing happening. Fine carbonation. Dry finish, than thins out somewhat. Ok.

Slightly watery mouthfeel, medium bodied, low carbonation, dry with tannins in the finish. Quite drinkable.

Quite a nice cider, expected it to be a lot dryer and tanic with Browns and Kingston Black in the mix, but actually had a much sweeter, crisp apple taste, the dryness really just creeping in slightly. An enjoyable cider, although doesn’t really stand out too much from it’s Herefordshire brethren.

Bottle that I picked up from The Hop Pocket, Bishops Frome, Herefordshire consumed 05.02.11 Pours light golden colour good clarity. Lovely crisp, fresh appley aroma, apple skins noted. Taste is also crips, clean and refreshing. Juicy decent cider nicely dry but very drinkable, good stuff. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6
