Pour is a bright but cloudy yellow with a white head. Aroma is dusty and yeasty. Flavor is a bit on the weak side. Some grain, bready and vanilla yeast. Alcohol is hidden well. Overall its not great but pretty tasty and a good value at only $2 a bottle.

Bottled. Pale golden, with some floaties in it, and a stable white head, leaving nice lacings. It has a fruity aroma, with banana and lemon, and some cloves. The flavor is lovely sweet, with candi and banana, and it also has some spices and alcohol. Sweet, lightly sticky body, and a spicy finish with some alcohol. It doesn’t hide it’s alcohol like it’s big brother Ultra Brune. (060516)

Best before 10/6/2009 bottle consumed on 5/23/06.
Fluffy, large, snow-white head slowly retains to cover leaving heavy lacing in its wake. Unfiltered and bottle conditioned with plenty of sediment on the bottom.
Oily, musty, woody nose shows a fair bit of estery-perfume wrought with light alcohol. Some plant-like, wet-straw notes and a bit of powder from likely candi or sugar syrup additions. Dry though, at least in the nose, with plenty of cinnamon and white pepper like phenols, leading to a balanced if somewhat unclean nose.
Sugary, heavy pils malt and other adjunct-sugar additions are readily apparent at first, with lemon icing and more plant-like hops flavor. Fair amount of spiciness on the finish as well, helps to dry things out, but it has its work cut out for it. No harsh alcohol tones, however, and the carbonation is natural and helps break up the sweetness. Light apples, and some corn from high fermentation temps, but I find a unique house character in the yeast. Dry, clean alcohol warmth on the very end begins to numb the tongue. A little loose after all is said and done (and only 10 minutes of breathing). Aside from that, the yeast and resulting character remind me greatly of Unibroue.

If it smells like a tripel, looks like a tripel, and tastes like a tripel, I say its a tripel. Aroma has light fruit aromas, some pear, light citrus, coriander. Cloudy orange with a thick head that laces the glass, and small pieces of sediment floating in the glass. Mostly sweet flavor with underlying bitter hops. More coridander. This is a sweet and heavy beer that is very smooth and easy to drink. Good.

(bottle) Slightly hazy orange colour with a lacy frothy white head. Sweet orange and peach aroma, malty and slightly syrupy with a touch of wheat. Sweet fruity flavour, medium to full bodied, light fizzy. Heavy orange fruity and sweet malty taste, alcohol-warming, English marmalade like sweetbitter lasting finish.

Bottled (BB 05/2009)
Hazy golden color, big white head. Aroma of fruits, banana and yeast - almost like hefeweizen - plus some alcohol, metal and cardboard. Also flavor starts with sweetish bananas then turning alcoholic bitter. Dry bitter aftertaste and warming alcohol. This beer kicks with all its 8 %. Like a wheat beer on drugs.
