A sublimely moreish gold-tinted amber ale. Delta and Cascade hops add a zesty, fruity edge to a softly nutty base. A very fine session ale.

Cask at the Bree Louise. Pours gold with no head. Some sugar in the nose, ripe fruits and caramel. Poor flavor, bland and watery with a little caramelish sugar. Light bodied and flat. Has a faintly bitter finish, bland still with just nips of sugar. Done.

Cask gravity at GBBF 2010. Gold, thin beige head. It’s a bitter, some biscuit, only a touch of hop. Just not interesting.

(Cask at Lion Tavern, Liverpool, 21 July 2009) Pale amber colour with creamy, off-white head. Fruity, malty nose with dried apricots, orange and dusty hops. Malty, fruity taste with notes of apricots, biscuity malt, toast and a gentle bitterness in the finish. Rather light body. Decent but not really exciting.

Cask at the Old Windmill, Coventry on 28th October 2008, guest beer. Flavoursome for its strength, satisfyingly rounded and a good balance of hop and malt is maintained until the finish where malt begins to dominate. Clean and satisfying.
