Our renowned strong cider made from varieties including COX, RUSSET & WORCESTER PEARMAIN. Customers who like “Westons Old Rosie” tend to be keen on this, as do fans of “traditional scrumpy”. Not too heavy for its strength, especially if compared to similar strength beers.

500ml bottle, as Boxing Dog Real Cider 7.5%. Sparkling pale gold coloured with a short-lived fizzy white foam head. Nose of tangy apple & barnyard. Taste is tart, apple, tangy, sweetish, fruity, citric rind, vinegar, and with some funk. Medium bodied, medium carbonation, dry fruit finish with alittle residual sweetness. Quite drinkable.

500ml bottle from Kris Wines. Pours pale yellow with floral aroma. Doesn’t half pack a punch on first sip, quite a big tang followed by fleshy sweet apples and vanilla essence on the finish. Lots of taste here that grows as you work through. Not bad.

From the box at the Bree Louise. Pours a ghostly, slightly cloudy yellow-white with no head. Heavy apple nose, some hints of booze. Medium sweet flavor, pretty tangy, medium ripe apples, slightly dank. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Mild warmth on the finish, tart apples and light sugars. Fairly acidic, too. Nice cider.
