Bottle courtesy of Bu11zeye: Poured a deep hazy brown color ale with a big foamy head with good retention but no lacing. Aroma of rye malt with some light bitter hops also noticeable. Taste is a mix between some bitter hops with loads of rye malt which provide some complexity to a usually less complex refreshing style. Body is quite full for the style with some great carbonation.

Pretty good, aroma is a nice mixture of malts. Pours a nice light and clear brown with a creamy off-white head with good lacing. Flavor is a bit bitter and then turns slightly salty, Hops and Malty profile. Very drinkable, my only complaint is that it is a bit watery.

Deep amber color with a small fleeting off-white head. Subdued hop and malt aroma. The flavor is bitter, not overly so, but firm from start to finish. Nicely dry palate. Thanks to my SS for this Texas brew.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy amber color with a medium off white head that dimishes slowly. The aroma is very hoppy that stings the nostrils. Decent lacing on this one with a very smooth taste and a good finish. First one out of the Real ale sampler and enjoyed it.

12 oz. bottle from Zinister. Pour is a cloudy deep golden and red with a medium white head. Aroma has a nice hoppiness, grapefruit and some malt coming through. Taste starts with big malt, rye and a nice hoppy finish. This was a really nice beer. Thanks Michael!

Hazy light Brown ale with overflowing off-white head and huge bubbles. Slight off aroma with herbal sweet whiskey barrel. Sweet whiskey malt with light astringent hops at the end, lingering. Thanks to Argo via Capflu (Sept. 2004)

Bottle Pours a hazy medium amber with a huge white fluffy head. Hops and malt are right up front as far as aroma goes. Taste is nutty and hopy. A little sweet. Palate is fairly smooth and the finish has that hops bitter bite. Just OK. Thanks to 123456green for the trade ! : )

Pours a dark amber color with a medium thin beige head. Thin lacing as well. Aroma of rye (surprise) and a little malt. Medium body, with a fairly strong mix of hops, rye and malt in the flavor. The finish is dry and a little citrusy. Fairly good overall.
