Cask gravity at GBBF 2010. Yes woody on aroma. Dark brown. I quite like the oak/hop/malt mix. Some decent toffee. Oak reminds me of a wine. Structures it quite well. Quite likeable.

Cask@GBBF2010. Deep reddish amber colour with no head. Aroma is fruits, some vanilla and mild wooden notes. Also has some stingingly sweet notes and mild alcohol. Flavour is similar, and rather alcoholic sweet stinging. Yet the wooden notes give it atleast some kind of balance.

CASK at BSF GBBF 2010 ... dark brown ... odd medicinal melon nose ... ah its fresh oak... its much fresher than most oak beers... like walking though an oak wood ... soft toffee very oaky ... juicy and quite unusual ... i like the fresh oak.
