A. Le Coq Premium is a light yellow premium beer with dense bubbles. Its sweetish character is well balanced with the fresh bitterness of hops. Nuances of hops and bread can also be felt in the aroma of A. Le Coq Premium.

50cl can from Tallinn Airport. Pours clear, pale golden with a small white head. Lightly grainy and malty aroma with hints of grass. Pretty clean with no off aromas, but not much flavour either. Medium sweet with a very light bitterness in the finish. A bit watery, but easy to drink and I think I can sense some vague hints of hops in it to. Quite decent pale lager. --- Beer merged from original tick of Viru on 06 Dec 2012 at 10:21 - Score: Appearance - 4 | Aroma - 3 | Flavor - 3 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 2.5. Original review text: 30cl bottle from Tallinn Airport. Lighty malty and fruity aroma with some unpleasant notes. Quite close to the expiration date (12.12.12) so I guess it is not the freshest beer. Sweet and a bit grainy with notes of honey and pears. Tastes a bit artificial and is more unpleasant than refreshing. The bottle is much nicer than the content. Drinkable, but slightly unpleasant.

Bottle: Poured a bright golden color lager with a large pure white foamy head. Aroma of sweet cereal notes is OK and somewhat bland. Taste is also dominated by sweet cereal notes. Body is on average for style with good carbonation. Too sweet for my taste but no major brewing flaws apart form being a bit too bland.

November 2008: Posh golden can with a foil covering over the ringpull, mine held 500ml and was taken during a lager tasting evening. The can also claimed the beer is a ’limited edition’, not sure it is! This was a bog standard pilsner in every way, nothing special in any aspect. Typical lager colour, typical lager non-smell, typical mouthfeel too. This beer could have been German, Czech, Polish or even American. Not a great beer, just average throughout.

hmmm. Estonia. This night is getting worse and worse. This beer just tastes like fermented shoe leather. No taste, bad aftertaste and surely a big hangover tomorrow. No good. Really watery colour.

Second Estonian beer for me (Saku Originaal being the first one) and both came in a 500ml bottle from the LCBO. Pours a yellow colour (light golden) with a white head that hand in there and delivers decent dirty lace. The nose is grainy with cereal malt and what seems like corn (but not sure). Notes of dirty hay and citrus eventually come out. Medium-bodied with an almost creamy mouthfeel. Mild grass mixed in with the malt, all-in-all light, kind of different but not overly weird. Drinkable, maybe a touch better than the Saku Originaal.

Canned, 0.5 l. Pours light yellow colour with minimal white head. Malty aroma with mild notes of hops. Medium sour to acidic flavour with some bittersweet mouthfeel and light hoppy finish. Light bodied, thin texture and moderate carbonation. Average Estonian pale lager...
