First brewed for the 5th Planet Thanet Ale Festival in 2010, this deeply hoppy traditional lager / ale makes a another welcome return at last. Flashy continental malts and bucketfuls of grassy, spicy Noble hops.

Cask @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Clear, slightly paler gold coloured with a small creamy head. Fairly smooth tasting with a light floral-hop in both its aroma and taste.

18th February 2015
Chelmsford Winter Beer Festival in KEGS. Cask. Clear gold beer, tidy white head. Palate is light and smooth with a nice mild fine carbonation. Clean pale malts, mild sweetness. Light floralness. Just a trace of citric hops. Semi dry finish, medium bitter linger. Sold as a cask lager, it’s not that lager like in character but avoids the god awfulness that so many attempts at cask lagers end up in!

Gravity cask at the Elysian Winter Beer Fesival, Ely, 2015. Blonde with a loose white head. Scent dominated by grain and light citrus with a slight vegetable funk. Bittersweet with a hint of balancing umami. Strange little beer but quite quaffable nonetheless.

Cask gravity at PlanetThanet BF 2010. Gold, thin white disappearing head. Not a strong aroma, but some hop. It grew on me as it went down and by the end I really enjoyed the hops on the end. Lovely
