Cask at CPK. Pours rich amber with an off-white, goopey head. Lightly toasted malts and mild, citrus hops in the nose. Lightly sweet, malty, with some bread, ripe fruits, and drying bitterness. Light to medium in body with fine carbonation. Some malty sugars, more bread and citrus and earth bitterness on the finish. Decent stuff.

Cask, gravity at Merton Winter Beer Festival Feb 08’ This beer never really settled properly, initially it just had a slight haze but this worsened as we went down the cask, tasted absolutely fine but had to pull the plug on it. It poured a brown colour with some haze, sweetish fruit with a good dollop of caramel which took oot the fruity edge. I didn’t mind this and my next door neighbour Nick loved it, he was rather gutted when I told him that I pulled it owing to it’s condition starting to worsen.
