Bottle at the Croydonia Tasting, big thanks to Luca for the trade on this one, 13/07/13. 2009 bottle. Hazed orange/light amber with a thin off white film that clears to the edge. Nose is soured and tarte fruit, damp wood, grass, orange rind, light dry rot, funk, tarte apple and grape skins. Taste comprises tarte peaches, soured lemon, light damp wood notes, soured grapes, touch of sugar, funky, earthy. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, tarte lightly puckering finish. A very well worked and drinkable sour.

2009 bottle at Croydonia Tasting, many thanks to Colin. It pours cloudy golden yellow with pretty much no head. The nose is earthy, must, light mouldiness, lactic, stone fruit, wood and vanilla. The taste is sour peach, apricot, white grape, smooth sourness, light acidity, lactic notes, wood and sour yoghurt with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Tasty, smooth and well-balanced. A big surprise...very good indeed! Utterly drinkable stuff.

Bottle shared at the Croydonia July 2013 Tasting - East Croydon. Thanks to Colin for this one. Vintage 2009. Pours hazy yellow with a light, creamy white head. Nice nose of grass and lemon - reminiscent of a lambic. Light to medium sweet flavor with tangy and somewhat juicy citrus, mild grassy bitterness. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish with light acidity, faint funk, juicy lemon. Very drinkable beverage.

1/12 0.375l bottle from beer8 shop, Genoa. It poured honey golden and hazy body with smaller head. Some particles of yeast are floating inside. Sourish vinegar aroma, simple, but typical and nice. Sourish flavor as well, sharp vinegar dominates with yeast fruitiness and a bit of caramel sweetness to round it up. Fine, but shorter sweetish finish, regardless its fuller body. Nice and enjoyable sour ale for sure.

Eeh, how on Earth is this different from the regular Mummia? We’ve had a bottle (lotto 22/08?), purchased at the beer8 in Genoa, looking like the bottle on the pics, saying that it was "rifermentata in bottiglia o fusto" and mentioning that it was matured in "botti di legno" so this must be it. Obviously, me and heavy bought it and rated it together Poured a murky nice golden body with a small white head that went away fast. Pungent bretty funky acidic soft nose, slightly corky. The taste is acidic and nice, mildly sweet and funky. The acidity is slightly light and it is nicely balanced by the malty sweetness. Some eggy notes. Not a world beater but a damn nice quasi lambic from Italy. I liked it.

Light lemon yellow-gold; nearly no head. Lemony, and Brett. Both the wet floormop & better variety (bought the yeast in the USA, maybe - joke, probably wild). Sour, unripe fruit. Again very Bretty int he taste, lemony, wet floormop, but with fresh water. It has a surprisingly light palate for its doing. Sharpish light, lipsmackin acidity, lactic aftertaste. Some restrained dry-out effect. I must say it grew on me. One to try, certainly.
