Contribution. 500 ml. bottle sampled @ RBBSG V. Hazy orange golden with little bubbles. This one tasted pretty much the same as the Pear version, sharing the quality in common that in neither I managed to pick up on any of the fruit. Instead it smelled like smoked & burning plastic with some sweetness, bit less butter here. Taste is big smoked plastic, lightly salty, faint butter, lightly milky, more smoked plastic dominating everything else, no apple. Body is plastic & smoked / tad burning plastic. Disappointing for me.

Sampled @ Ratebeer Belgian Summer Gathering 2016. Hazy yellow color, average sized off-white head. Smell and taste apple, burned plastic, smoke, slightly sweet and more smoke. Meh.

Clear pale yellow to beige beer, small creamy white head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very peated, smoky, pretty funky, bit sweet, no fruit? MF: soft carbon, medium to light body. Taste: fruity start, sourish, funky, slightly sweet this one. Aftertaste: smoky, funky, pretty peated, sourish, lemon juice. Not much apple though?

At rbbsg16. Thnx for sharing People ! Pours unclear blonde, ok white head’ smell is smoked, rather intense. Taste is Sharp, smoked, not much fruityness bit sweet touch .

Bottle shared at cellar cleanup tasting at deanso’s. Hazy golden with specks of yeast floating. White head. Smokey malts, old apples. Bacon and applepie. Pork with applesauce. Hole in the market. Bottle shared thanks to kermis. Hazy orange pour with a thin white head. Smoke, bacon, light macerated fruit, wheat, lemon zest. Medium body, medium carbonation and a bitter-sweet aftertaste.

Tap@ Kitty’s. Poured amber color, thin white head. Aroma has campfire smoke, citrus fruits, some acidic notes. Flavor has acidic notes, smoke, ripe apples and tartness. Interesting brew. Salty notes in finish

Smoke nose. Cloudy amber, thin head. Crabapple, campfire smoke. Medium body, soft carbonation, tangy. I like this style quite a bit, but I can see how it might be very polarizing.
