On tap at Pizza Port Ocean Beach, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate and coffee. Flavour brings out quite a bit of coffee, followed by subtle cocoa and roast. But this is basically a coffee bomb. Medium body, characterized by the coffee. Solid stuff.

Tap at the Cask, Pimlico, 10/05/13. Pitch black with a thin tan head. Nose is coffee cake, brown sugars, dark roast malts, espresso coffee. Taste comprises coffee, brown sugars, booze. Full bodied, fine carbonation, light booze in the finish. Booze well integrated, a little sweet at times but a half pint is bang tidy for this bad boy! Great stuff for a coffee beer lover like I !

Tap @ Boulder Strong Ale Fest 2013. Pours a bit murky dark brown appearance with a brown head. Huge bitter coffee aroma with some chocolate and herbal notes. Flavor is full of roasty coffee, roasty malts, and some sweetness. Tasty but a bit too coffee forward for me.

From a growler at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2012, thanks to Paul who got it from other guy. Pours clear, red-brown with a fine, foamy beige head. Has a huge filter coffee nose that reminds me intensely of Dunkin Donuts coffee. Medium to big sweet flavor with ultra rich coffee, some chocolate syrup. Oh so, so smooth. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Great finish, medium sweet, moderate roast, cocoa, robust coffee with a mild bitter edge. One of the truest coffee beers I have ever had. Completely drinkable. Wow.

From growler, many thanks to richiesd! It pours pretty much black, with a thin beige head. The nose is coffee, light roast, milk chocolate, some meatiness, toast and salt. The taste is roasted malt ,milk chocolate, coffee, vanilla, caramel, lactose and coffee liqueur, with a dryish finish. Very well hidden alcohol. Medium body and low carbonation. Smooth and flavoursome.
