[Gravity cask at Back of Beyond, Reading] Toffee and fruity malt with just the right amount of bitterness. Nothing unusual here, but Brains do seem to do these sort of ales very well - good stuff!

Cask handpull at Muggletons, JDW, Maidstone. Gold, slight haze, lasting beige head. Toffee caramel bitter, it’s ok if a bit to much on the caramel for me. Some dryness on finish.

Cask-conditioned at the Globe, Frampton Cotterell, S Gloucestershire 06/09/09. Inviting, clear amber in colour with a billowy white head that left rings down the glass. Aroma of grassy hops, apricots and a touch of hay. Flavour of biscuit malt, with a trace of citrus and decent dry finish. Good.
