Clear amber beer. Semi dry palate. Sweetish malt with a pleasing amount of banana ester. Liptons peach tea malts! Finishes dry and a little floral.

[Gravity cask at Back of Beyond, Reading] Toffee and fruity malt with just the right amount of bitterness. Nothing unusual here, but Brains do seem to do these sort of ales very well - good stuff!

Cask, gravity dispensed, at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading. Straw with a ring of white head; fruity aroma; light dry fruity flavour; with light spicy hops giving a dry finish. A simple, straightforward, honest, bitter.

Cask handpull at Muggletons, JDW, Maidstone. Gold, slight haze, lasting beige head. Toffee caramel bitter, it’s ok if a bit to much on the caramel for me. Some dryness on finish.

Cask-conditioned at the Globe, Frampton Cotterell, S Gloucestershire 06/09/09. Inviting, clear amber in colour with a billowy white head that left rings down the glass. Aroma of grassy hops, apricots and a touch of hay. Flavour of biscuit malt, with a trace of citrus and decent dry finish. Good.
