Burnt umber head atop inky ebony. Unclear.
Rum rum rum. Wow thats dry and boozy. In the mouth it's dry and horribly taken by the rum. So dry, alcoholic and astringent. Ugh this is awful. Texture is fine, kinda low carb, engaging. Soft to slick. Burning alcohol and rum on end.

Bottle split at CBC St Giles, 30/05/18, thanks to Kenny. Pitch black with a well presented dirty tan head. Nose is rich roast, rum tinged oak, burnt toffee, dark chocolate, dark fruits. Taste comprises fruit cake, ashen notes, light charr, mellow rum barrell, chocolate, black peppery spice, dates. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced alcohol rip. Solid impy ... nose was top draw for me ... taste didn't quite back this up.
