Really cool, 33cl hand grenade bottle pours a muddy brown with some creamy, bright white head. Nose was interesting, a ton of apple, some lemon, orange, malt. Flavor is very odd, malt, brown sugar, apple, pear, some lemon rind, something a touch sour towards the end. Watery finish. Not an IPA at all. Looks, smells, tastes like a brown ale. Not terrible, just way off stylistically.

33cl bottle, the Crown Royal of Hobo beers? Hell yes. BB 12/03/2014.

Bottled (thanks Bov!). Amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is fruity, floral, bready and mildly toffeeish with some herbal notes. Flavour is sweet malts, some toffee and quite strong fruity and floral notes. As it gets warmer it gets a bit dull. (Score given from when it was cold).

A dark copper amber ale with a thin brown head. In aroma, a sweet malt with herbaceous hops, treacle, nice. In mouth, a smooth biscuit malt with grassy British hops, grainy, metallic notes. Bottle at Mondial 2012, June 9 2012.

2013-06-24, draught at La Bossette, Lausanne, 7-4-7-4-14=36
Dark amber color, hazy, with small head. Nice, mild aroma of caramel and hop. Good caramel flavor, very moderate sweetness, quite good hopping, some resins and some fruits; balanced.
Nice.

Hazy dark amber color, with creamy head, beige. Aroma of malt, hop, puke, yeast. Caramel flavor, with decent hopping level, mild hop resins, very light piney touch, and long final.
Now labeled as IPA, this is still an hopped Amber Ale, drinkable but not exciting.

Bottle in Genoa, purchased from a small curio shop in the Genoa old town. Light haze on this amber beer. Big creamy pale tan head. Light palate, a little soft. Nice malts here, smooth caramel toffee. Hops seem to have gone walkabout though! Where is the claimed Nelson Sauvin and Amarillo? Just a trace of fruit buried in the semi dry finish. Could easily pass as a Scotch Ale rather than an IPA as claimed on the bottle!
