Gyldenbrun. Lavt skum. Karamellaroma. Smaken mere karamell. Behagelig tørr bitter avslutning. Bra - men litt ensformig.

Cask at The Whole Hog, Malmesbury. Decent condition. Darker amber with a white head. Earthy with crisp autumn leaves. Malty toffee and a little orange. Like all good bitters it gets better as you drink more - it's well worth having a full pint rather than just a sample. Lasting bitterness in the finish. Overall it's your archetypal traditional English bitter, and done well.

Gravity poured half-pint at the 23rd Codsall Station beer festival on 3rd May 2019. Light amber/copper body, off-white crown. The nose gives notice of semi-sweet caramel maltiness in the taste, some mild fruitiness from the hops too. Decent.

From old notes: Cask @ Booze on the Ouse fest, St. Ives, 2000. Amber color. Really good bitter, without being overly bitter. I wonder what I would think of it now...
