Cask handpull from volunteer arms at GBBF 2010. Hazy cloudy orange gold with thick beige head. Ester banana aroma. Some marzipan too. Good stab at a weisse beer and best UK attempt I’ve had.

(Cask at Cask Pub & Kitchen, Pimlico, London, 6 Aug 2010) Hazy brownish yellow colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, wheaty nose with notes of citrus, banana and clove. Wheaty, fruity taste with banana, bread, clove and a slightly citric wheat character. Medium body, with some sweetness. Tasty and solid hefeweizen in a traditional German style. Nice one.

Cask at the CASK Pub & Kitchen, London on 28th July 2010. Hazy amber with offwhite thin head of foam giving partial lacing. Yeasty aroma with soft berry fruit notes. Main kick is citrus and spice, mainly mace/nutmeg, and a touch of grass and a tang of grapefruit on the tongue. Finish citric with a little sweetness, and the texture is light but engaging.
