7% abv. Malted barley. A cousin to our India Double Porter, but fermented with lager yeast at low temperatures to smooth some of the rough edges. Another lager beer born out of the Coronavirus lockdown of 2020.

Bottle at ChrisO "I’m Trying to see the Stool" pre GBBF2010 tasting. Very very dark brown. Lasting beige head. Lovely roast, I mean really roasted. I love it. Really good hard roast. Touch of sour on finish.

31st July 2010. ChrisO’s ’Raise The Roof’ tasting. Spider crawl notes at the end of a long days rating! Dark brown beer with a little tan head. A light touch of dark malt and then a little sweeter malt coming through. Coffee aftertaste.3.3

27th December 2021
Opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Smooth palate, a mild dryness, decent fine carbonation. Smooth dark malts, a nice light level of dark malt cream. Biscuity bitterish dark chocolate. Modest coffee underneath. Nice level of citric hoppage, never outmuscles the malts but adds a decent multi layered level of orangey citrus. Ripe orange, a a touch of brighter fresh citrus and a little citrus peel. Smooth finish. Comes together very well.
