On tap at the brewery with Sarah. Pours a clear light gold with a near white head that dissipates to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma has light pine hops with a hint of resin and a light grain backing. Flavor has more pine with some resin towards the finish and a light grain backing.

Bottle at home in London with Lyoli. Pours lightly hazy yellow-orange with a large, fluffy white head. Dry, dusty hop nose, some pithy citrus, spicy hops, some earth. Light to medium sweet with very restrained bitterness. Seems quite a bit different from other Kernel APAs, a bit more delicate and, as I said, restrained - and in a great way. There is some really gorgeous citrus character, quite velvety and fresh, with undertones of dry and dusty earth. Medium bodied with very smooth, fine carbonation. Fresh finish, some pale malts, very modest dough, lemon, some light straw. Lasting fresh citrus, hints of pine, very light grass. Great beer. Awesome.

(Draught at Kernel Brewery, Bermondsey, London, 21 April 2012. 5.8%) Hazy yellow colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of apricots, mandarin, grass and citric/floral hops. Fruity, hoppy taste with citrus, mandarin, apricots and a generous floral bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with balanced sweetness. Very nice and tasty.

Bottle from the kernel brewery. It pours cloudy light orange, with a decent white head. The nose is tangerine, orange, grapefruit, brown bread and spice. The taste is orange, tangerine, grapefruit, good bitterness, earth, resin and pine, with a long dry-citric finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. A very drinkable APA.
