0.5l bottle. Hazy dark orange/brown body, white head. Aroma of grains, wheat, banana, caramel, cocoa and cherries. Taste of bread, banana, caramel and some cherries. Very nice dunkelweizen.

Bottlshare at Mr Smith’s pad. Thanks to Fergus. Hazy amber beer, tidy pale tan head. Palate is smooth and has decent fine carbonation. Sweetish malts, a touch of cream. Tangy ripe fruits before a sweetish light finish. A tad on the sweet side but enough here to amuse.

Bottle shared at Leighton’s place 14/04/2016. A hazed reddy amber coloured pour with a lasting frothy beige head. Aroma is banana bread with yeast esters, a little hint of tart berry, hint of smoke. Flavour is composed of of sweet gooey banana bread, caramel and vanilla, cakey malts. A little tart berry in the finish. Palate is medium bodied semi sweet, frothy carbonation.

Bottle shared in W2 - thanks to Fergus. Pours lightly hazy amber with a creamy, tan head. Rich berries in the nose, plum, fig, dates, some town bread, yeast. Medium sweet flavour with more rich bread character, grapes, berries, dates. Medium bodied with average carboantion. Bready finish, with ripe berries, figs, dough, also toasty wheat. Tasty beer. Pretty well balanced.

Bottle at Bespin, thanks to the Watford Deutsch Projekt, 14/04/16. Chestnut brown with a moderate beige covering. Nose is toffee, light peppery spice, clove, yeast esters. Taste comprises banana bread, toffee, clove, brown sugar, dates. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Decent enough German affair.

Bottle at a random place in Heidelberg. It pours hazy dark brown with a thick beige head. The nose is roasted, toast, sour tang, malty, raisin, sultana and cocoa. The taste is bitter-sweet, toasty, caramel, bruised banana, earth, light bitterness and banana bread with a dryish finish. Medium body and average carbonation. Solid Dunkelweizen.

Trübes braunes Weizen mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch hefig, würzig, leicht fruchtig. Geschmack hefig, leicht röstmalzig, fruchtig.

Copper pour with small tan head. Aroma of grains and caramel, slight corn too. Flavor of popcorn, some grain, hint of caramel. Roasty malt finish.

Hefiger Antrunk, der kaum süß und nur wenig malzig ist. Hierbei wird das Malz noch etwas intensiver, bleibt aber hinter anderen Weizen zurück. Süffig und erfrischend, sehr wenig intensiv. Lange ausgleitend auf dunkelhefiger Basis. Gelungenes, nicht übermäßig intensiver dunkles Weizen. 8/11/12/11/11/11
