Dry-hopped with Cascade hops in our open fermenters, our IPA boasts a bright floral aroma and flavor reminiscent of pine and lemon peel. The pronounced hop bitterness is balanced by a medium-bodied caramel and biscuity malt character with a nutty finish. It showcases many subtle earthy bitter notes, rather than the resinous citrus-rind bite often featured in many American-style IPA’s. Silver medal winner in the Classic English-Style Pale Ale category at 2015 GABF.

Bottle from Kris Wines, London. Liked the label (which is different from the union jack one here). Poured a hazy faded burnt orange colour with a dissipating off white head. Slightly muted aroma with notes of sweet malt, citrus and hops. Livelyish carbonation. Rather unsubtle bitterness. Drinkable if a little disappointing. Maybe not the freshest bottle though.

Bottle. Weak fruity aroma. Cloudy grey copper colour. OK stable off-white head. The flavour is a little teaish and quite alcoholic. Rough bitterness, from hops or alcohol, not so pleasant. Below average for an APA.

12 oz bottle. Pours light amber with a white head. Aroma is fruity strawberry, butterscotch, and caramel. Flavor is biscuity malt, spicy and piney hops, some earthy flavor, with a touch of butterscotch. Not a lot of hops in this one, really, and the butterscotch makes me think something’s off here.

Bottle that Craig picked up from GBBF for me, cheers mate! consumed at Fairports Cropredy Convention Annual Reunion 14.08.10 Pours murky orange/amber with a white medium head. Nice aroma, bit spicy and peachy perhaps with a dab of malt. There is a little pithiness, some lemon, its a nice beer, quite simple but tasty, a gradual raspy bitterness runs across the tongue to finish things off. A7 A3 T7 P4 Ov14 3.5

Bottle from GBBF 2010. Hazy, cloudy orange gold, thickish beige head. Slightly flowery hop aroma. Quite bitter on the finish. Nicely grapefruit. Some yeastyness on the aroma. It’s decent with some character from the yeast and some yellow grapefruit bite on the finish.

Citrus, grass, and malty aroma leads to a similar flavor. Biscuit malts really help tone done the hop bitterness. Nice, light hoppy flavor with decent bitterrness. Solid but not earth shattering. Sessioned thise one quite nicely on St. Paddy’s day.
