Cask at Old Coffee House, Soho. It pours clear brown with a small beige head. The nose is earthy, wood, soil, caramel and spice. The taste is wood, earth, leather, big alcohol hit, wet leaf, light toffee, light spice and ripe fruit with a dry, bitter finish. Medium+ body and fine carbonation. Pretty rough around the edges. Ok, but not great.

Sample @ "Feria del Gourmet 2013". Light orange colour with minimal and quickly diminishing white head. Aroma is light hoppy, floral and slightly citrus. Flavor has floral hops with a pleasant and not disturbing bitterness.

Cask at the Euston Tap, London. Pours clear, dull gold with a tight, white foam head. Aroma holds a bit of caramel and overripe fruits. Flavor is medium sweet with toasty malts, toasty sugar, caramel and strong alcohol. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Warm finish with some golden raisins, dry toast, light grains, light earthy bitterness, hard alcohol (vodka?), leaves and toasty sugar. Fairly one-dimensional. Nothing special.

Warning! Early amateur rating! Hint of fruit and an even vaguer hint of caramel malt. Otherwise a sharp beer with a lingering bitter finish. Not great.
