[Gravity cask at Chippenham Beer Festival] Dark brown. Liquorice dominates, with a bit of cough mixture. Sweet with odd sour hints. Not really my cup of tea. Or my pint of beer for that matter.

Bottle 50cl. @ ChrisOs Pre-GBBF Shindig 2010.[ Raise The Roof Tasting ]. Clear medium brown color with a average, frothy to creamy, fair lacing, mostly lasting, light beigge head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, sour malt. Flavor is moderate sweet and light berry acidic with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100731]

Bottled@The Chriso rock the roof down pre-GBBF tasting. Slightly hazy brown colour with small head. Aroma is fruits, wood, mild toast as well as some mild spices. Flavour is fruits, earth, wood and some mild hops in the finish.

Bottled. A brown beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of sulphur and roasted malt. The flavor is acidic with notes of roasted malt and sulphur. Not good.

Cask at the Monks Retreat (JDW), Reading. Gold with a dense cream head; weak grainy aroma; grainy, citrus flavour; dry and chalky finish. A mild? I don’t think so.

Bottle at home ... Deep red brown ... huge tight lasting off white head ... ... a bottle conditioned bottle :-( and as such it on the edge of turning ... roast malts ... toffee and chocolate ... soure woody nose... The potential shines through.... but the fact that its turning is a shame.

Cask-conditioned at the Knights Templar, Bristol, 16/05/09. Dark chestnut with reddish undertones and a decent, off-white head that left lacing down the glass. A lot going on all round, with plenty of chocolate flavours, some caramel and roastiness and some leafy hops in the finish. Very drinkable.

Cask gravity at Reading BF 2007. Very dark brown with thin dark beige head. Really good mild, lovely choc/coffee, superb, excellent mild. Got everything as well as good condition.
