2010-05-16, draught at Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen, in parallel with a Girardin Jonge Lambik, 7-5-7-3-15=37
Light amber color, hazy, with a huge creamy head. The aroma is delicate, with cheese rinds (tomme), very light rubber, cereals, hay, grass; then comes some of the sourness of the Lambic, and the Bretts, but not the Saaz. Good Lambic flavor, quite smooth; mild but very good Bretts; citrusy feeling; dry and citrusy final (again, no Bretts). Compared to the Jonge Lambic, the Bretts are more prominent, and the overall feeling is drier.

2010-05-06, draught/cask at København Ølfestival 2010, 7-4-7-4-14=36
Hazy deep blond color. Nice cellar aroma, puckery, dusty. Light and astringent mouthfeel, with light lemon peel bitterness.

Säuerlicher, wenig brennender Antrunk. Aromatisch, etwas bitter, stimmig, sehr angenehm. Ausgewogen, nun wässrig und trockener, der Hopfen unterstützt dies permanent. Süffiges Lambik. /9/10/9//9

Sampled @ Copenhagen Beer Festival 2010. Slightly hazy golden body with a moderate off-white head. Aroma is citric fruity and funky. Flavor is acidic, citric fruity and light malty. A bit light on the bitterness, interesting combo anyway and easy drinkable.

Draught @ Olfestival Kobenhavn 2010, Carlsberg TAP1, Ny Carlsbergvej 91, Copenhagen V, Denmark.Unclear medium orange color with a small, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing head. Aroma is moderate hoppy, flowers, hay, barnyard, sour. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet, light to moderate acidic and bitter with a long duration, dry. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. IMO the Saaz hops did do any good for the Girardin Gueuze. [20100506]

On tap at KØ-10. It’s a hazy, golden-orange beer topped by a nice, off-white head. A light rubbery touch in the aroma is overpowered by lemon and barnyard. The flavor too has mostly lemon and barnyard, not letting the hops play any significant role. Dry, puckering and sourish. A quite easy drinkable one, quite nice too, except for that little rubbery touch in the aroma. Considering the purpose of the beer, I would like more hoppy impacts too. 100506

On tap. Slightly hazy golden with an off-white head. Tart Brett aroma, some barnyard. Light body, very low carbonation, dry and tart with distinct Brett accents and some grassy notes from the hops. 060510

6th May 2010. Copenhagen Beer Festival. Hazy gold beer. Thin suddy head. Light sourish nose. Light dry palate. Sour but no puckering induced! However the lemony sourness does overwhelm the little saaz hop which stuggles to get a look in. Lambics are not my thing and this is probably a better beer than I’m giving it credit for.

Tap@Festival der Bierkulturen, Kölle: Golden, hazy, stable creamy white head; sourish-sweetish nose with a distinctive piney hop character in the background; solid dry - not too dry - sourish flavour with a light bitterness; fruity-sourish finish with a hoppy aftertaste. Very well done.....
