Goodmans Fields Spoons. Cask. Bright clear gold - amber beer. Tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth and dry, mild fine carbonation. Light dry malts with very light and dry creamy sweetness. Definite white smoke on the back end. Hops are floral bitter with a good dose of citric orange as well. Peel bitterness. Finishes dry, white smoke lingering on.

Cask gravity at the St Albans beer fest 2014. Aroma is ash tray, smokey phenols, stale cigarettes offensive. Golden. Red coloured pour with a halo of white head. Flavour is nutty, light caramel, hint of smoke, raisin. Palate is semi sweet, grainy and moderate carbonation. Not impressed.

Cask (Edgar Wallace, Strand, London) - Dark brown in colour. Chocolate, dried fruit and biscuity malt in the aroma. The taste is fruity, malty and chocolatey with notes of raisins and fruitcake detected alongside chocolate sponge pudding.

(cask@Catford Bridge Tavern) Pours amber with good off white head. Good lacing and medium body. Aroma of malty caramel. Taste is fruity and toasted caramel malts. Very good.

Cask gravity at Ale and Bakehouse Westgate on Sea. Deep reddish brown bitter. Very decent best bitter. Rich malts and good bitter leafy hkp on finish. Sessionable best bitter of good character good condition and just plain good bitter.

Cask at The Horse & Groom, Caulcott, Nr Lower Heyford, Oxon, 31.07.11 Pours amber with slim white head. Nice bitterness, touch of burnt caramel, chocolatey, with plenty of cocoa powder, tasty bitter with furry bitterness. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

Cask. Amber colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is fruity, wooden, a bit nutty as well as slightly toasted. Flavour is caramel malts, wood, mild fruity notes as well as some slight toasted and nutty notes. Pleasantly balanced bitter.

Cask (handpump) @ Wellington, 37 Bennetts Hill, Birmingham, West Midlands England B2 5SN.Clear dark red - orange amber color with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, sour notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, peat - smoke, light peppery. Body is medium, texture is oily and light sticky, carbonation is soft to flat. [20100115]
