On cask at Three Tuns, Dronfield - Auburn body, thick lasting white head. Thin tinny nose, a bit of sweet citrus here and there, but nothing that really shines. Taste is equally bland. Not one to remember.

Warning! Early amateur rating! On tap at the Sun Inn, Kelvedon. Complex ale. Nice fruity and malty tones with a hint of cream. Very drinkable.

500ml bottle. Having had this on cask, I wasn’t exactly looking forward to this, but this was surprisingly really good. Some house Wadworth yeast on the aroma, but the best things about this beer are the mouthfeel and smooth swallow and the really really good fresh hop sting and lasting hop sting on the finish. Malts are just about ok. Not saying that I’m going out to buy a shed load of this again, but a lot better than I had expected. It won over my indifference.

Cask at The Trigger Pond, Bucknell, Nr Bicester, Oxon, 18-12-09 Pours gold with a white head, looks very good. Taste is simple, lightly malty, some fruitiness, lacking a little in bitterness department, its tasty enough and fine. A6 A4 F6 P3 Ov12 3.1

[Bottle at Wadworth’s brewery bar] Now, this is a bit of a shock - a Waddy’s beer that doesn’t have the usual farmyard/straw/egg flavour. It tastes very fresh and light with a hint of orange. It could make for a pleasant beer if it wasn’t ruined by the intense, prickly and almost metallic carbonation.

Cask Conditioned at The Old Shades, London
Hazy copper color; compact head. There is some malt, more noticeable at the end, but the hop qualities are rather missing; refreshing Golden Ale.

Cask handpull at Market Porter. Gold, thin white lasting head. Bit of rubber. Some vague yeast malt hop. Poor.

[Cask at Charlie's Bar, Copenhagen] The aroma is hoppy and grassy. The color is hazy orange and it has a small but steady and lasting head. The flavor is sweet malty to start of with notes of fruit, fresh hops, hop oils, and a little grass. It ends on a slight bitter and oily note, that lingers prickling on the tongue. A fantastic flavor.
