From a 375ml can on 9/7/2015 (ABV listed as 5%, no reference to Rare Breed). Pours dark brown with a medium head. Has a mild nose of coffee and chocolate. In the mouth, there’s light roasted malt, cocoa, chocolate, coffee and vanilla, with a moderate bitterness. Medium bodied with average carbonation. A decent sweetish stout.

Bottle at CGarvie tasting. It pours deep brown with a small beige head. The nose is mellow roast, coffee, molasses and light spice. The taste is roasted malt, cola, earth, bitter coffee grinds and light tanginess with a dry finish. Light-medium body and fine carbonation. A bit thin and not a whole lot of flavour....

Opaque black beer, decent sized tan head. Pleasant nose - dark malts and a little Port! Palate is light and has mild fine carbonation. Mild dark malt, but paradoxically rich. A whisper of coffee and trace amount of hops in the dry finish. Not bad.
