Pigs Ear. Hazy dark red - brown beer. Light suddy head. Light dry palate. Dry malt with something pretty sweet going on before turning to spicy bitterness. Dried fruits and some nuts. Finishes warmer than expected for it 6.9%. A weird concoction but not too bad. The Funeral Strength version was better.

Bottled. A deep red beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and bread. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, malt, and citrus, leading to a dry lemony finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of madmitch76. Pours an almost clear amber with a small, rough off-white head. Interesting aroma, rather sophisticated. Solid body, flat though, roasted malts and overripe fruit with a light tartness. Some alcohol heat in the finish. Cheers Iain! 230310

Cask gravity at Pig’s Ear BF 09. Hazy russet colour, lasting beige head. Sweetish fruit/malt on aroma. Very decent sweetish fruit. Jammy strawberry, then quite hoppy on finish. Good strong ale. I liked it.

Malty, fruity taste with notes of dried fruit, raisins, prunes, toffee and chocolate. More than medium body, slightly sweet. Moderate bitterness, with focus on the maltier side. Nice beer.
