Bottled. A hazy deep red beer with a huge brown head - very lively when opened, which suggests an infection. The aroma has notes of vinegar, malt, caramel, and wheat. The flavor is acidic with notes of barley and wheat, leading to a tart finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Chelmsford Winter Beer Festival. Cloudy brown beer, apologetic suddy head. Pronounced fruity nose with cherry and other red fruits and a trace of apple. Soft palate. All the fruits on the nose came through in the flavour. Then chilli kicks in! Quite a nice contrast to the fruit. Finishes dry with lots of chilli heat. Nice!

Bottle that was picked up in a mixed box from the pub adjacent to the brewery consumed 04.03.11 I’m amazed at the low ratings for this, I absolutely loved this. I realise that it’s quite a strange interplay of flavours but its bloody tasty stuff. There is a great warmth from the chillies, and then there is wheat & chocolate bursting through, a lot going on in the mouth but it combines really well, medium carbonation. Maybe some of the ratings were from infected bottles, there was no sourness at all in mine. I went totally against the grain and gave this a 4.0 great stuff. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov17 4.0

cloudy brown, smooth light brown head. sourish and tart aroma, faint roasted malts, sour wheat flavor is sour wheat, quite strong chillies. Not sure if it was intended to be so sour, but i find it interesting with the play between the hot chilies and the sour wheat.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours an almost clear orangey brown with a huge frothy beige head. Very tart aroma - sharp - with a little overripe fruit. Medium body, heavy carbonation, tart, nutty and yeasty with actually some hops and pepper in the finish. Clearly infected. 150211

Flaske 0,5l fra bryggeriutsalget. Sort. Svakt farget kremaktig skum. Overraskende syrlig krydret aroma. Smaken også dominert av krydder med et syrlig bakteppe. Pepper. Nesten så den svir i halsen. Skal den være sånn? Antakeligvis ja: Den var “Heiss”.

Beige tophead slowly diminishing. Murky dark coloured body, not exactly pretty to look at. Aroma of dark malted wheat. A bit strange taste of peppery spices with underlying acidity. More strong spices on the swallow, burning throat, almost. Bottle 0,5l from the brewery tap at The King William IV in London. On the train from London to Sheffeild, shared with Finn, 30.09.2010.

Bottle at London Brewers Showcase. Pours dark brown, opaque, with a light cream head. Sour malt aroma. Sweet, with some cocoa and caramel. Medium bodied with outrageously high carbonation. Some warming booze. Really high in carbonation; it just seems to go nuts in your mouth. FInishes airy, a bit boozy with some dark, sweet wheat notes.
