A black beer brewed with roasted barley malt and challenger hops. Then freshly ground Arabica coffee beans, blended especially for Dark Star, are added to the copper for a few minutes after the boil to provide a rich and complementary coffee aroma. NOT EVERYONE’S CUP OF TEA!

Drucken på flaska. En len, rund, fin stout med kaffefinish. Inte särskilt tung, men väldigt välavägd med precis lagom mycket kaffe att balansera choklad och rostadmalt smakerna.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 03/04/10. Near black in colour with a hint of red and a slight, off-white head. Aroma of roasted malts, with a hint of coffee and chocolate. Flavour was also dominated by roastiness, leading to a dry finish. Good.

Cask via cellar run at the Mermaid, St Albans, UK on 10th October 2009. Solid black, impenetrable by light, with an off-white foam head. Freshly ground coffee/espresso aromas and a rich bouquet of burnt/roasted malts in the main flavour burst, followed by a delectable dry finish on a textured mouthfeel. Excellent stout indeed.

Cask, Bodega, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. Black with a decent tan head. Roasted malt and coffee bean aroma as you might expect. Slid down silky smooth. Flavour was more of the same, and very nice indeed with it. Drying, slightly bitter finish. Tasty stuff.
