Single bottle from a local IGA store. Pours a cloudy amber colour with a warm fluffy cap, good retention and some foamy lacing. Lots of debris floating around. Aromas of raisins, spices and caramel malt base. The raisins are present in the taste as well with hints of other fruits. The spices are almost inexistent. Grassy hops and chocolate notes do come out in the smell eventually. Pretty smooth overall, so decent winter warmer for starters of this style.

Bottle: Poured a cloudy dark dirty beige color ale with a large frothy head with Ok retention and some lacing. Aroma of dry malt and light cinnamon notes is somewhat pleasant. Taste is also dominated by a generic malt based with light sweetness and some cinnamon and other spices which makes this beer more pleasant then most of their other offerings. Body is quite full with limited filtration and good carbonation. No brewing flaws and interesting use of spices makes this more interesting then your average offerings.

Sampled @ Copenhagen Beer Festival 2010. Hazy reddish orange body with a diminishing off-white head. Aroma of sweet malt and spices. Flavor is sweet malty, some caramel and spices with a moderate bitterness in the aftertaste. Quite light but balanced, still to exiting. The aroma is the best part of this beer.

Bouteille 341ml.

Bottle at KØ-10. It’s an almost clear beer, golden in color and topped by a small, off-white head. Banana fruityness on the nose, with a hint of spices. Fruity and malty-sweet flavor, decent bitterness towards the otherwise slightly sweet finish. Medium body, rather flat and lifeless on the palate. A boring one. 100507

Bottled at Copenhagen Beer Festival. Hazy amber, no head. Spicy bready nose. Mid-sweet and very fruity with medium body, Plenty of marzipan, caramel abound but low on hops. No bitterness. A bit more life in this beer than other Schoune beers I sampled in Copenhagen.
