75 cL bottle at Nørrebro Ølsymposium. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is sticky caramelish and slight oxidised flat, dominant yeasty phenolic fruity. Peppery,yeasty and slight spiced too. Sweet, caramelish and spiced initial flavoured. Smooth carbonated mouthfeel. Caramelish and spiced yeasty over the tongue. Ends with a lingering phenolic, spiced and declining sweet caramelish flavour into the finish.

Bottled. A hazy golden with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of brettamyces, malt, and yeast - lovely. The flavor is sweet with notes of over ripe fruits, brettanomyces, and malt, the brett gives it a slight acidity.

Pours pale dull copper with thin off white head. The aroma is full and complex with sweet apple and cherry fruit notes, some basement style stale funk, mild tartness and a bit of old shoe leather. The taste seems a bit thin but ushering in loads of flavor. I get apples, a modest level of ripe cherries and ripe raspberries. It then moves into mild tartness and some berry to funk house-ness. Nice stuff.

Sweet fruity caramel aroma with some floral notes and a bit of Brett character. Slightly tart Brett flavor, some floral notes, a bit of fruit and caramel, and a touch of yeastiness. Light body with moderately high carbonation.

750 mL bottle. Pours a soft peach color with a thin head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma is citrus, caramel and very light funk. Taste is light citrusy funk, butterscotch and caramel. Medium bodied. Very light and pleasant.

Have had this a few times now, once shared by tytoanderso and recently by JoeMcPhee. It pours with a thick dark golden color that one cannot see through and has a strong frothy head. Looks very nice indeed. How do I describe this beer, well first of all I can understand some of the low ratings, and it has to do with the De Proef Brett culture. If you compare it to the De Proef Flemish Primitive ales you get a lot of that, which can be described as rancid oil (I am stealing this term from JoeMcPhee) brettiness. Now for some that is bad but I do like it for what it is. Here however it is not as strong because the other Brett culture, from Allagash, which is present and subduing some of the De Proef rancid oil aspects. the Allagash brett is also a lot more mainstream with mainly a pineapple brrettiness. Some sweet biscuit in there as well. The first time I has this the De Proef aspects were definitely stronger than now, so I anticipate this changing a lot through the years as well. Its very cool stuff, right up my ally but I definitely see why other people are not interested in this, which is fine in my book, more for me.

750 ml. Cloudy golden body with a two-fingered white head. Strong brett nose of lacquer and basalmic vinegar. Hints of overripe pineapple and grapefruit, caramel and honey. The flavor is lightly sour, lightly bitter with a light to moderate sweet backbone. The beer finishes tart, but the sweetness remains in the background. Medium body and soft carbonation. Soft texture. Reminds me of Orval, but much sweeter.

Bottle shared by Enniskillen. Nose is "cowblanket" (smells like a dairy with milk, hay, and cow crap), caramel, light spices, and a very light coffee note. Lightly hazy gold with a medium, glass lacing white head. Flavor is light funky horseblanket, caramel, and ginger. Finish has light bitterness.

Pours a hazy gold, with an uneven, rocky head - brett and horseblanket hit the nose first, followed by some dry, crackery notes, then some light peach and apple sweetness, peppery hops - the flavor is quite similar - a little bit of acidity up front, followed by strong brett character: light funkiness, some crisp, crackery flavors, grassy bitterness - starts getting a bit sweet late, with flavors of apple, pear, pineapple, peach, grapefruit pith - there is a little too much sweetness, which doesn’t quite work with the strong brett profile - maybe with age, if this dries out, it will be better - it has potential, but the sweetness doesn’t quite work for me
