(Bottle) Black colour with foamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of coffee, dark chocolate, figs, liquorice, star anise, black bread, a touch of brandy and citrus. Malty, roasted, vinous taste with coffee, chocolate truffles, figs, treacle, black bread, blood orange, star anise, a touch of brandy and a balanced spicy bitterness in a warming finish. Full body, really sweet. On the sweet side, but really tasty and quite complex. Very nice.

Bottle. Black body under a small, fast disappearing beige head. Aroma has dark roasted malt, coffee, chocolate and dry fruit. Taste is sweet and malty with the same ingrediencies as found in aroma, complex and balanced. Fine body and long lasting aftertaste. Great stuff.

Kicsi, gyorsan elilklanó hab, fekete szín. Csokis, kávés, kakaós illatok, aszalt gyümölcsökkel, és némi ánizzsal. Csokis, kévés, kakaós, aszalt gyümölcsös ízek, halvány fügés és ánizsos aromákkal. Édes, testes, alig szénsavas, erősen keserű. Rendkívül intenzív ízekkel operáló desszertsör.

(Thanks, Jim! Ozzy70) Bottle. A- Cocoa, figs, mild anise. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Orange zest, citrus, iron, cocoa, roasty, figs, licorice. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, bitter finish. O- Kind of an odd array of ingredients, but the iron flavor really detracted from anything. Not sure what went wrong were, but this wasn't a personal favorite from Pohjala. I just think the bottle itself was not in prime shape. Not bad but not great.

Batch 503. Thick with a thin layer of brown foam. Smells sweet and a bit metallic. Really thick mouthfeel. Tastes very sweet, with plenty of fruityness. Star anise is done very subtly, only if you look for it. Grape must and orange adds sweet fruit.
