3 week old can A: Thickly hazed chalky orange gold with a short fast falling white head and thin sheets of lace. S: Thin aroma of generic citrus, flowers and sugary wafer cookies. T: Lightly bitter and moderately sweet with nondescript fruit, bready notes and a little honey coming together in good balance. M: Full body, soft texture, soft carbonation and a slick finish. O: Sugary, honeyed IPA at 7.5%? Not for me.

Very deep copper and bronze coloured body with a fairly hazy glow, all underneath a thick, frothy, but microfoamed deep honey tan head about four to five centimetres tall that takes a long time to fade. Aroma of citrus fruit, honey, stone fruits, a dash of flowers, some caster sugar and a light hit of malts - fairly nice and well-rounded in the nose. Medium to Full-bodied; Fairly rich mouthful at first brings out a good chunk of melon, mango and papaya, but also some malts, with a fairly strong sweetness that comes along with the residual sugars, but has a light complexity from the fruit-like flavours, with a hint of alcohol and malt at the end, too. Aftertaste shows the richness as well, with a bit more malts than I expected, but a good layer of fairly bitter hops and smooth sweetness, seemingly from the fruits. Overall, a pretty nice, super fruity and mega rich lower ABV IPA that gets out a nice complexity and range, but remains easy-ish drinking without being cloying at all - a great local, even though it's a bit past it's 'drink by date' (it was even when I bought it!) IPA, but the hops are still large here. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Giant [grocery] in Alexandria (Potomac Yard), Virginia on 08-October-2021 for US$1,99, canned on 23-June-2021 with the 'enjoy by date' of 21-September-2021 (whoops!) and sampled at my house in Washington on 29-October-2021.
