Stout with Dried Chile Peppers, Cinnamon, Cacao Nibs, Vanilla Beans and Almond.

We love the spicy-nutty-sweetness of Molé'd Almendrado... but it's a big beer! This one has the same flavors, without all of the strength! Like the original batch, we infused this oatmeal stout with ancho and guajillo peppers for their dried fruit flavor, plus a little Habanero for heat! The warming-spice of cinnamon enhances the chiles. The finish is creamy drinking-chocolate from cacao nibs and Madagascar vanilla beans with house-toasted almonds adding creaminess and nuttiness.

From Beer Drop, canned July 22nd 2025.

It pours black with a very small head of foam that shrinks to nothing but a ring around the glass. Lacing not worth mentioning.

Smell is cocoa, vanilla, peppers of the heaty kind. Some spice notes that aren't of the hot kind.

Taste is cocoa, vanilla, roasted malt, and big notes of heat from the Habanero. Little bit nutty, some cinnamon, but they bow down to the heat.

Good enough medium bodied with carbonation on the gentler side, I probably wouldn't drink this again.

Can shared by CLW--thanks, Chris! Opaque black, nice viscosity, no head or lacing. Aroma is strong cinnamon, vanilla, cacao nibs, mild chili pepper. Taste is initial blast of strong chili flavor and heat over cinnamon, milder vanilla, cacao nibs, but in the background. As this sits/palate adjusts, the heat is WAY less noticeable and the flavors emerge--whatever the reason, let this breathe! Thin texture, pepper heat, average carbonation and finish as taste. There is a lot of flavor here but you've got to let the heat calm down. Taste eventually almost approximates aroma, which is great.

16 oz can. Aroma of soft vanilla and mild cinnamon. Well, in the flavor, the chili pepper is much more pronounced than the aroma. There’s no mistake that there’s chili pepper in this style. However, I will say it’s not a ridiculously spicy burn. Vanilla and almond is nearly knocked out by the peppers. 🌶️

Canned 7/22/25, drunk 8/21/25.
Clear, dark. Small head.
Smells nice and juicy with rich almond drying out the cacao and vanilla. Fruity, peppery, chocolatey with lightly rich fudge balancing. Clean, no alcohol or sugar.
Spicy and fruity with earthy, chocolatey cacao, and habanero on the very end. Silky and highly attenuated with no residual sugar. Would like a bit more oomph from the body, but it's a nitpick and nice to see a very dry pastry stout.

Thank Clark for this new brewery to me. Nice dark pour and small head. Nose has everything on description chilis and cinnamon and almonds vanilla. Tatses pretty almondy, cinnamon. Choclate, vanilla, earth and plenty of chili heat. Choclate lingers and chilli warms back of your throat.
