On tap at Borefts I. Opaque black beer. Very odd and very off putting gloy glue nose which carries over in to the taste. Some brett fink. No port! A total train wreck of a beer and I really wanted to like this. Could not finish my meagre sample.

12/10/9/11//11

Draught @ Borefts Beer Festival 2009 - De Molen.Dark dark black - brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light brown head. Aroma is heavy malty, roasted, coffee, brett, sour milk notes. Initial flavor is heavy sweet and bitter, finish flavor is heavy sweet, light to moderate acidic and heavy bitter with a long duration, fruity berry notes, a dry dry finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. I like the regular Brunch much more but still excellent and nice to be able to taste the brett version. [20091030]

Bottle at De Molen Event 2009 ... Deep red brown ... thin tan head ... odd wattery melon nose ... thin roast malts ... quite wattery ... little wood or whisky in linger.,

On tap at Borefts BF 09. The 1 for 1 original beer shines through. Intense stout. Port on aroma. It is intense, it’s got some nice porter qualities even, really quite grainy malty. A bit too boozy maybe.

Black with a tiny deep beige head. Fairly dry aroma with wood, brett, burned malt and lacto. Somewhat dry flavour with burned malt, dark chocolate, brett, coffee and wood. Finished dry. To much really and I like the original one so much more.

Handbottled. Rough paint thinner aroma. Almost black colour, seems a little unclear. Thick and very oily mouthfeel. The flavour has more paint thinner, a bit of chemicals. Late roast barley flavour and some sourness that must be the Brett. Not my thing.

Handbottled, courtesy of Ungstrup. Pours hazy to black with no head, but not much different from tap apparently. Aroma is fruity and hardroasted malty. Solid port wine and light brett dryness. Dark roasted malt flavoured, very acidic roasted. Soy sauce finish with a light burning touch. I get the underlying Brunch beer, but the brett is rather subdued compared to the port wine influence. Fun experiment, but somewhat unrefined.

tap at ølbutikken pitch dark, small bubbly brown head. very stron gimperial stotush aroma, licorice, mild roasted grains, wood, so well blended, some berries or dark fruits. flavor is roasted grains, very faint hops or sourness, woody notes, very hard for me to describe. but it tastes very good indeed. ends strong roasted almost ashy, blended with cofee nd lasts for a long time.

Draft. A pitch black beer with bubbly brown head. The aroma is powerful with notes of chocolate, wood, port wine, over ripe grapes, and some roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of roasted malt, over ripe fruits, port wine, wood, and some soy sauce and chocolate, leading to a dry roasted, and woody finish. Not very harmonious.
