Heavily inspired by some of our favorite “clean” Belgian ales, Historic Fiction lives somewhere between saison and pale ale. Made with 100% Maine-grown grain, a blend of yeast strains, and hopped firmly with Sterling, the resulting beer is as simple or complex as you’d like to make it.

Pours a hazy, light lemon yellow, with smallish head. Aroma is clove and banana ester, wheat beer notes. Flavors follow. Clean and crisp mouthfeel.

Can from Tavour. Pours translucent gold with a foamy white head that laced down rapidly. Aroma is earth/yeast/citrus/spice. Med body. Flavor is pretty much per the aroma, tho there is a very light banana note. Very dry. It's bitter in a strange almost funky way. Very complex for me. Extremely flavorful for me.

16 oz can. Aroma of yeasty phenols. Flavor is soft bubblegum, pear and mild fruity yeast characteristics. Does show a slight bitterness in the finish. Really easy to drink. Exceptional execution.

Canned 10/31/24, drunk 2/9/25.
Lightly hazy, soft brass. Frothy, white head.
Pear, pepper, biscuit and apple. Clean and aromatic no clove.
Malty and soft with soft pepper and cellar mustiness. Fruity with a more mellow pear like character. Well damn that's a lot of soft notes with pear and such. Very Belgian not pseudo Belgian....

Light hazy over a gold body.  Fizzy white head.  Nose has light herbs, light grist, some candy, some noble hop.  Flavor is bright, some lemon and apricot, herbs and straw.  Plain grist.  Served real cold it was refreshing.  Dry but medium bodied.  7 3 7 4 13
