One of the beers commissioned by the Delhaize - De Leeuw supermarket chain. A deep orangey blonde witbier with frothy head and very fruity character, sweetish, wheat sourness and citrus peel as well as the stereotypical coriander. Another cliché Hoegaarden clone.

Brewed solely for the Delhaze supermarket chain (I think). Anyway my review is of a 25cl brown bottle purchased in said supermarket. It has a drink by date of 4 Jun 09, I drank it on 21 feb 09. Poured into a ’Hougaerdse DAS’ tumbler. Grapefruit in colour, a pale yellow. Sat on top was a firm white head (at first), this tried to stay for a while. Semi-sour citrus aromas crept out the bottle and glass a mix of lemon and grapefruits. The flavours within the taste were very simular. The beer was tangy and sharp, not as carbonated as other Witbiers I’ve had (Hoegaarden, etc) but it was still lively. Spiced with something, cinnamon maybe, or nutmeg? Not bad at all for a cheap Witbier.

Bottle from the Delhaize supermarket in Leuven. Old backlogged rate from 2005. Cheap beer. Clean and crisp but with very little character. Lots of coriander in this one, it seems. Lots of lemon, yeasty, but with very light malt character. Inoffensive, but not really interesting.

25cl bottle, Delhaize/Food Lions brand of beer. Pours cloudy golden straw, thick white head. Aroma is yeasty; light spices and orange peel. Taste, good aromats with a more forward touch of coriander, light notes of orange peel and yeast. Simple, tasty, refreshing.

bottle, pours light gold with a frothy white head. Heavy corriander and yeast nose. Full of wheat flavors, a slight orange sourness and a creamy yeast filled mouth. Extremely refreshing, great session beer.

Bottle. Light caramel aroma. Gold color with a monstrous white head. Thin with mild carbonation. However, the flavor is mild citrus, wheat, clove and ? It is very refreshing.
