750ml bottle at Ma Che is a deep purple, aubergine. Clumpy pinkish head. Nose is deep with red grapes, lavender, red wine lees, some plum jam and some strawberry. Some old world wine barrel. It's deep. Flavors are huge grape skins, merlot more than anything, there is some port, earthy, some funk and some persimmon or Quince or something. Barrels round things out. Finishes with some funk. Dry. Long. Very grapey. Super unique.

750mL bottle at Ma Che, 2020 cork, drunk 5/13/24. Magenta-sangiovese. Clear. Light pinkish head steadily to ring. Fruity, bright, robust and with well-macerated and mellowed grape. Gentle oak and vanilla. Some acid on the end but mellow and surprisingly malty overall. Malty, mellow, juicy, mild oak, well-aged grape acid. It's juicy as hell and the grape tannin only builds towards the end, balancing the malt and other sugar. Needs a bit more time to develop some more personality, I think. But as is, it's bright, malty, juicy, mellow and incredibly drinkable.

0,75l bottle at home. Vintage 2021. Bottled January 2021. Blackberry like color, small pink head. smells berry notes, grassy, earthy, peppery, subtle tannins, grapes notes. Nice to very nice smell. full body, soft carbonation. tastes grape notes, berries, blackberries, tobacco, peppery, spices, cinnamon, subtle stone fruits, tannins. finishes lightly dry and light to medium sour with notes of berries, tannins and cinnamon. Very nice one. Needs a bit to open up, but then this is great. Love the berry and cinnamon notes. A tad young still, but already drinking great. This has many great years ahead of it..

Bottle. Cantillon. Deep purple. Fine ring of pink swede. Nose has red wine dregs. Fresh pressed sweet red grape. Old leather. Cut oak. Taste is tart dry and fruity. Nice breakfast grape juice thing going on. Dry and clean on the palate with moussy carbonation. Some enamel furring acidity. Tart juicy finish.
