[500ml bottle, gift from Maureen & Dave (cheers!)] Nice copper colour with a moderate off-white head that swiftly vanishes. Slight fizz - just the right amount for the style, and not overly carbonated like some bottled bitters. Smells of sweet malt and caramel. Too mush caramel on tasting though, itโs rather sweet, with negligible hop presence. Thin too, and just a slighr biscuitty dryness in the finish. Drinkable, but pretty poor.

(Cask at Carpenterโs Arms, Marble Arch, London, 28 Nov 2010) Dark amber colour with brief, foamy head. Malty, nutty nose with dark fruit, orange and toast. Malty, nutty taste with notes of caramel, apricots, toast and a mild bitterness with dusty hops in the finish. Rather light body, fairly sweet. Highly drinkable, but hardly exciting.

Cask at the Duke of Wellington, London on 14th April 2010. Gold with small white head. Hoppy and citric with some grassy notes. Grapefruit to end, on a zingy mouthfeel. Much better than when I first drunk it at the beginning of the year.

Appearance: Crystal clear copper/amber with a very small white head, very little lacing
Aroma: Grainy, caramel, banana and yeast
Taste: Yeast, spices and some hop bitterness in the finish
Decent beer. Smooth drinking.

Bottle 500ml.Clear medium orange amber color with a small, frothy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is light moderate malty, caraml, light moderate hoppy, light orange, light yeasty, earth. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20091114]

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a a lazing off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and a bit of spices. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, malt, metal, and some alcohol, leading to a dry butty finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

50 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is toasted malty and slight spiced hoppy. Mild citrusy and vague spiced hoppy flavoured. Dry and bitter flavoured into the finish. Simple, yet slight malt driven bitter.
