Bottle at home after a 1.5 hour round trip to collect the offspring through terribly flooded roads. Great pour with a rich head and a deep mahogany colour in the glass. This is a proper and very good best bitter. Malt and hops perfectly balanced. This just hits the spot.

Cask at Oakes Barn, Bury St E. Malt and caramel aroma. Medium chestnut. Frothy white head provides 75% coverage. Light sweet msltiness followed by a touch of sourness. Underlying light bitterness. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft carbonation. Long finish. Pleasent enough palate but pretty dull otherwise.
