Bottle at home, from HOTM online, 05/10/23. Always nice to claw back a missed Kernel! Almost clear golden orange with a good sized lasting white head. Nose is orange zest, hedgerow, biscuit, malt forward, citric tinged straw. Taste comprises grass, lemon rind, citric tinged straw, toasted grains, bitter orange, mellow grapefruit notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close splashed with grassy to leafy hop bitterness. Okay drinkable pale but a little stuck in 3rd gear by the Kernel's standards ... I blame the hop!

Tap. Hazy golden color with white head. Aroma is tropical fruits, juicy, bready. Taste is bready, tropical fruits, a touch petroleum/plastic. Oily mouthfeel with low carbonation. Not excellent, but decent enough.

Tap at Gollem Antwerpen. Bit hazy light golden with fluffy white head. Raw cocoa, soft grassy, some dank weeds, coffee, light crisp malt notes. Instead of the usual Kernal marijuana this has funny dank fresh coffee instead. Just medium sweet, bitter and bodied. Interesting but not their best by far.

Hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light, mildly dry and has a fine minerally crispness. Smooth malts bring an unusually modest sweetness for Kernel. Light pine into mild but bitterish lemon and orange. Mild spicy bitterness. Little lemon peel on the semi dry finish. Decent but doesn't seem to hang together quite as well as the Kernel norm.

Bottle at home picked up from the brewery. A beautiful translucent golden yellow coloured pour with a lasting rocky white head. Aroma is nice bready rustic bread, white grape, mellow tropical, straw, earthy citrus. Flavour is composed of soft bready grains, grassy citrus, grapefruit peel, assertive, slightly harsh bitterness. Palate is also beautiful, soft grains, pillow light carbonation. Lingering harsh grapefruit, woody bitterness and little alcohol bite.
