Reddish-brown colored, medium beige creamy head. Aroma is of caramel, dried fruit, oak barrel, bit whisky with some alcohol notes, candied fruit, toffee. Taste is medium to very sweet malt, caramel, candied and dried fruit, toffee, oaky vanilla, whisky, medium- bitterness, noticeable alcohol and warmth, bit too boozy. Full bodied, soft carbonation, sticky to creamy. Nice, but the alcohol bite is too much, better chilled down. (bottle, Bierhalle Deconinck, Vichte)

Lightly hazy amber beer, good pale tan head. Nose of toffee liqueur and rich candied fruits. Palate is smooth, semi dry and has decent fine carbonation. Soft airy malts that resolve into caramel and toffee. Nice light cognac. Light spice. Spicy pine. Nice mellow candied fruits. Fruit liqueur. A touch of Calvados. Light finish. Spicy fruity linger. Nice! Plenty going on here and very drinkable.

clear reddish-brown colour, large, dense and stable beige-ish-yellowish head; aroma of whisky, whisky malt, licorice, spicy alcohol, dried fruits (blueberry, cherry, raisins and maybe plum), walnut liqueur, some vanilla and caramel notes; taste is the same with syrupy and bittery notes, as well as spicy alcoholic aftertaste; excellent 'beer'

Bottle @ home. Red-brown color with a reddish glare, decent sized beige head. Aroma is malts, caramel, overripe fruity and slightly candy aromas. Taste malts, caramel, overripe fruits, somewhat boozy, hops in the distance. Hard to describe any better. Medium body and carbonation. Or maybe a bit in between average and medium. Anyway, I really like it, but beware of the high ABV!

33cl Bottle from Melgers. Reddish amber-brown colour, beige head. Aroma is sweet, fruitcake, candy, wood. Flavour is sweet, candy, candied fruits, wood, booze, soft whisky, more wood in the bitter finish. Medium to full bodied. Decent stuff but lacks depth, certainly not worth the high price tag.
