Thank you kraddel & tderoeck! Sampled draft @ VCBF 2017. 11.8 % ABV. Bourbon plus maple syrup. Dark brown, deep tanned head. Nose is sweet sugar, maple bourbon, very sharp boozy, too harsh, unbalanced, might need more time to blend. Overly boozy, harsh alcohol in the start, varnish alcohol, not balance, sugar, boozy, maple, sweet sugar, dark fruit. Messy & likely realeased far too young as has been with some Uiltje beers in the past, this needs more time I think. Promising but just too messy, harsh, raw. Expected more.

Clear dark brown beer, creamy beige head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: sweet melons, roasted, sugary, interesting. MF: soft carbon, full body. Taste: sweet, bit spicy, ripe melons, soft roast, sweet caramel, ripe banana. Aftertaste: little bitter, roasted touch, sweet, caramel, coffee, vanilla.

Tap @ Uiltje bar. Black color. Beige head, not much. Aroma’s: smoky/peaty, alcohol. Retronasal it’s smoke, peat, tar, sweetish, alcohol. Flavor is moderate sweet, tar, bandage. Medium bodied. Finishes with more bandage, rather bitter.

Draft at Uiltje. Black pour. Aroma of vanilla, chocolate and cream. Taste has chocolate, roasted malt, glue and some booze. Lacks the full bourbon taste, seems like the barrels were used a couple of times before. I like the base beer better.

Tap at Uiltje Bar. Black with light tan head. Big sweet roasted chocolate and barley malts, bourbon, wood. Over medium sweet, light sour. Over medium body and low carbonation. Draft at Uiltje 2nd Anniversary. Black with a ring beige head. Aroma of bourbon, smoke, oak, vanilla, tobacco notes, caramel and chocolate. Flavour is light heavy sweet and light moderate bitter. Light full bodied with a sticky texture and soft carbonation

Tap at Uiltje Bar. Black with bubbly light brown head. Red berries, light chocolate, bourbon, light coffee, red wine, fake chocolate. Medium sweet, light bitter and very light sour. Medium bodied with slick and a bit watery feel. A bit disappointing.
